Site Use Tips

1. Use the hyperlinks on the blue Nav Bar for fast navigation.

2. The heart of this website is the voter information on candidates for the House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate. This information is organized around House District pages and Senate District pages, as follows.

A page has been created for each House and Senate district with a contested race.

All the voter information we have about a particular district election and the candidates in that election are available on, or linked from, each House District page or Senate District page (e.g. the 29th Senate District page, etc.). Each District page includes the following:

Type of electoral event(s), polling locations and times.
Names of candidates in the race, & candidate contact info (phone, Email, website (if any), and address)
Issues at a Glance... Candidate Issues Survey responses... Voter Guide (if any)... Voting Records, Score Card scores... Research on candidates' positions... Endorsements... Race at a Glance (some races)... Funds raised... Political Commentary & op-eds about that Election... Bio / background info, etc.

To access this information, do ONE of the following:

(1) if you know your district number where you live:

Click on By House district or By Senate district, as appropriate, under Candidates & Issues on the Nav Bar, Then click on the district number.

Or, (2) if you know the name of your candidates:

Click on House candidates or Senate candidates, as appropriate.
Then click on the candidate's name.

If you do NOT know either your candidates or your distinct number, or you're not absolutely sure... or to verify your polling place:

Click on either Who are my Reps? or What's my district? to get that information. (Record it for future reference.) Then follow steps (1) or (2) listed above.

3. If you want to see a hierarchical view of how the website is laid out, click on SiteMap under Site Helps on the Nav Bar. You can also navigate from within the Site Map. The SiteMap also lists planned features not yet available.
